Introduction
SGI provides the academic knowledge necessary for both theoretical and practical maritime training including various areas of Maritime Navigation (marine engineering courses, mandatory safety and additional courses for officers, engineers and seafarers) in accordance with the requirements of the International Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping (STCW).
These knowledge and experiences have further been strengthened through the strategic partnership of SGI with reputable British maritime college; South Tyne Side College (STC), and then the certification of the SGI Quality Management System by the international organization (DNV) as well as the approval of SGI’s maritime courses in accordance with the standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) as well as the reputable Liberian Flag State. Accordingly, SGI is able to offer a diploma in the field of maritime operations and navigation, maritime engineering and certification of maritime safety in it's various fields.
Diploma Certificate:
The study period is two years, distributed as follows:
§ First year: Provided by SGI in Saudi Arabia.
§ Second year: Provided by STC in the United Kingdom.
Diploma certificate will be awarded in one of the following disciplines:
§ Diploma in Shipping Operations and Navigation
§ Diploma in Maritime Engineering.

§ Elementary First Aid
§ Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
§ Personal Survival Techniques
§ Security Awareness course for seafarers with Designated Security duties
